Let me share with you about my reflection on one of my lesson plan this week. I introduced one of the lessons to the children by giving a story. The focus was about weather condition “A Windy Day.” I have also posted some open-ended question with the children and asked them to talk about what wind feels like, and how it make things move. Apart from that, I also implemented this lesson by allowing children to record today’s weather on laptop (with teacher’s guidance if necessary). Besides that, children also constructed a simple experiment related to this lesson topic. They recorded the experiment process by using digital camera and also recorded down some note in their science journal book. Children also uploaded some photos unto prezi presentation by using laptop and wrote a short caption on each photo they have taken throughout the experiment process.
The lesson took extra (another) 15 minutes to complete the whole lesson because the children spent lots of time uploading the photos unto prezi presentation. Overall the children were able to learn what they were supposed to effectively especially during the story time session and children enjoyed captured photos during the experiment process.
